The Benefits of Clinical Research

Patients receive free medications, lab work and physical examinations as well as compensation for their involvement in the clinical trial. They also receive the gratification of knowing that they have contributed to advancing the treatment of pain for all patients.

Current medications and procedures rarely produce more than 30% to 50% reduction in chronic pain. New medications and drug delivery systems are needed to improve pain control in both cancer and non-cancer patients. Clinical trials allow patients to participate in the development of new analgesics while at the same time giving them access to state of the art analgesics not yet available to the general public. If you are interested in participating in a clinical trial, one of our Study Coordinators will be happy to discuss trials currently in progress and whether you might qualify for a study.
